As we devote this day to remembrance of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, we at Frost Call ask that you reflect on the phrase "in the line of duty." For some, this could be a loss of life during combat or a military training exercise. But for others, this could include a loss by su***de from wounds that were never fully visible to friends and loved ones. This Memorial Day, we reflect on the enormous sacrifices made by our service members, including over 30,000 post-9/11 service members and veterans who have died by su***de. They will never be forgotten.

If you are a veteran, you've likely heard this before, but don't forget that there are resources if you are struggling. You can contact the Vet Crisis Line at 988 (1 for vets) and at https://www.veteranscrisisline.net/. You can also join the Frost Call community to connect with other veterans and service members who can understand what you're going through at www.frostcall.org/discord.

Mox is a Veteran owned and operated game shop that offers a third space to folks in New Bedford. Thank you to Tim and Eric for the start of an excellent collaborative relationship. In recognition of the Month of the Military Child, Frost Call recently partnered with Blue Star Families and the New England Patriots Foundation to bring military families together for a night of fun, food, and gaming. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this night such a success, including a visit from Patriots players Mehki Butler and Sebastian Gutierrez. Thank you to WCVB5 for highlighting this amazing event!

Last night, we were honored to celebrate the Month of the Military Child in collaboration with the and at We had nearly 100 veterans and service members with their families together to celebrate the enduring strength and sacrifice of military families. An additional thank you to for proclaiming this special day in April and to the Massachusetts Office of the Veteran Advocate for reading this proclamation to honor this community. And, what a blast to have the with us for some gaming! Because that's what it is all about--connecting and celebrating the power of being together.

And that’s a wrap on PAX East 2026! Thanks to for another wonderful year. There are so many highlights to share, but we have to start with this one from Saturday’s ‘unofficial’ official meet up. Thanks to all the veteran and service members who joined us. Playing board games and tabletop RPGs, yelling ‘neigh!’ to block someone’s move—IYKYK thanks — or maybe finding a new video game to wish list is part of what PAX is all about. But even more, being in community and making new friends in-person is what Frost Call is all about. We cannot wait until next year.

Frost Call in the Wild! It’s that time of year again as Frost Call kicks off our weekend. If you are a veteran or service member coming to the convention, come find us by the Pax “X” in the lobby on Saturday at noon for a group photo before we go and play some games. Interested in some prizes (spoiler alert, we really want to show you our Pokemons)? Then make sure to come to our Community Meet up, now in room 206, on Sunday @ 1545.

Frost Call will host a meet-up at PAX--details to be announced later. Winners are encouraged to join us, hang out, and play some games!
