The Billerica Republican Town Committee would like to express our prayers and sincere condolences to President Trump and his family, in the attempted assassination of the President. We would also like to express the same to the family of the person who died, as well as the other victims who were injured. We also pray for the soul of the shooter.
It has been said by many that there is no place for political violence in the USA. However, the country since before its inception has been rife with political violence. The early political violence was about freeing oppressed people from tyranny. The modern day violence since the JFK, RFK, Malcom X, MLK, assassinations, as well as the attempts on Ford, Reagan, Trump, as well as the violence of the Weather Underground which brought Obama to power, has been about bringing tyranny to free people. This should never exist; unfortunately it has since the beginning of time.
The Billerica Republican Town Committee prays for the 100% recovery of the victims of this evil act. We pray for a safe, non-violent Republican Convention this week. We pray for a non-violent Democrat Convention, and a non-violent rest of the campaign.
We ask people to pray and learn about the Covenants enter into by Gov. Bradford and General Washington, and to ask God to once again Bless this once great nation so that it may be great again.
