Admiral Christopher Grady, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, joined Exercise Northern Edge 25 (NE25) - a U.S. Indo-Pacific Command multilateral, joint field training exercise in Alaska.
The exercise strengthens joint interoperability by testing
U.S. forces across all domains and integrating advanced technology in realistic conditions. It provides an opportunity for joint and multi-domain operations designed to offer high-end, realistic warfighter training; develop and improve joint interoperability; and enhance the combat readiness of participating forces. NE25 also deepens our alliances and partnerships, modernizes joint planning and command, and reinforces deterrence across the and regions.
As part of the exercise, Adm. Grady and senior leaders embarked the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) — a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and flagship of Carrier Strike Group 3.
Its crew plays a vital role in projecting power, enabling joint operations, and sustaining maritime superiority.
