Life took a tragic turn for percussionist Brian Jung, on Sunday, August 27. While enjoying time with friends on a pontoon boat at Cherry Creek State Park, Brian dove into shallow water, hitting his head and severely damaging several vertebrae. Brian was rushed via ambulance to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado where he endured an 8-hour surgery removing and replacing both his C5 and C6

vertebrae, fusing his spine and supporting his back with 12 screws. While Brian quickly regained movement in his arms after the surgery, his legs have been slower to respond and his medical prognosis is most likely permanent nerve damage. Brian is currently undergoing rigorous rehabilitation treatment at Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO.
