Front Range Rescue Dogs Front Range Rescue Dogs is a volunteer group committed to providing canine search teams to missing persons.

Founded in 1984, Front Range Rescue Dogs is an experienced and dynamic non-profit volunteer group committed to providing competent canine search and rescue teams to missing person emergencies. FRRD teams work primarily in Boulder County, but have been requested to assist on searches throughout Colorado and neighboring states. We certify teams in Wilderness Air Scent, Trailing, Avalanche, Evidence,

Disaster, HRD and Water. The group is available to respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. FRRD is dispatched by the Boulder County Sheriff's Department.

FRRD is saddened to share the passing of Ki, beloved partner to FRRD Emeritus member April.
Ki was a dedicated Human Remains Detection (HRD) dog and a valued member of our search-and-rescue community. Her years of service alongside April will always be remembered.
May you have plenty of balls and toys over the rainbow bridge, Ki. 🌈🐾❤️

We’re fortunate to be part of a SAR community that values training alongside our response partners.

Clear communication and collaboration help us work more efficiently when it counts. We had a very successful training this weekend, identifying ways to combine our skills with technologies like drones, to improve effectiveness in the field.

Understanding each other’s strengths makes us more effective for those we serve. 💪 🐾

Meet Tripp 🐾 Front Range Rescue Dogs newest K9-in-training and Michael Huddleston newest pup.

Tripp is a McNabb Shepherd. Known for their stamina and ability to analyze and solve problems quickly, McNabb's make great search dogs. Tripp is so excited to get his day going that he's been regularly waking Mike up around 4am before the sun rises... 🤪

We're pumped to support these two as they work to become another FRRD K9 search team!

Today may be the last day of Canine Fitness Month, but we’re just getting warmed up! Summer training has started and we’re working hard to stay fit — good thing we love every minute of it. 💪☀️

Cheers to the dogs (and their humans) who never stop moving!
