Graduation season is truly my favorite time of year — a moment when hard work, resilience, and possibility all meet in one powerful celebration 🎓✨

But this year hit differently. The Valedictorian of my District 5 high school is officially headed to my Alma Mater Liberty University … on a FULL RIDE 🔥🙌🏽

I couldn’t be more proud of him and everything he’s accomplished. I’m even more excited to welcome him into the Flames family — a community that shaped me, challenged me, and prepared me for every chapter that followed. Knowing he’ll walk some of the same paths I did makes this moment incredibly special ❤️‍🔥

Here’s to new beginnings, bold dreams, and the next generation of leaders rising right here in Prince George’s County.

Graduation Celebration 🎓🎉

Graduation day is always a joyful milestone, and this year was no exception. Before we headed out to celebrate our graduates, we asked PGCPS staff what they were wearing.

Our educators come from top-tier universities and bring that same excellence into the classroom every day, challenging our scholars academically and supporting their growth 📚🧠.

Yesterday, as a Board Member, I loved seeing so many smiling faces 😊. From kids laughing, families connecting, and neighbors cheering each other on.

Woodmore Elementary raised over $1,000 and welcomed 100+ guests at Skate Night 🛼🎉. A huge thank-you to the PTO for organizing and to every parent and community partner, your teamwork and generosity made the evening possible 🤝💙.

I’m proud to serve a community that shows up for our students with so much heart ❤️.
