Summer is here! Check out these easy tips to help save you money this summer! Raise your thermostat a few degrees when possible and make sure to replace dirty/clogged filters so your system runs efficiently. From time to time, we get questions asking if we have raised our rates, especially when we have experienced a prolonged stretch of extreme temperatures. While we have not raised rates, some parts of your bill are variable, including the kWh charge, based on home much electricity you use in a given billing cycle, and the TVA Fuel Cost, which pays for the cost of the fuel used to generate the electricity we purchase from TVA. For tips on how to save money on your electric bill, visit www.wrecc.com/residential/energy-efficiency/ or give our Member Services Team a call at 270-843-6541. If you feel like your bill is completely out of whack, you might have an electrical issue in your home that you are not aware of.
