Golfers: Please call to cancel if you are unable to make the event. Please arrive and check in at the scorers/registration table 30 minutes prior to your tee time. Proper golf attire will be expected: collared shirt, shoes, hemmed shorts (not athletic), or dress slacks. Lunch and awards will immediately follow the 9 and 18 hole rounds. Big Changes coming in 2016

2016 Wheat Montana Junior Golf

WELCOME!! On behalf of the Advisory Board at Wheat Montana Junior Golf, we would like to invite you to join us for another year of fun, competitive golf. This year there will be five qualifying tournaments and a “Wheat Montana Junior Golf Finale.” We are excited to announce that Matt Clark will be taking over as Executive Director for the 2016 season. Thank you to Steve Whitney for all his hard work and commitment to the organization over the years…. you will be missed! Here is our 2016 Schedule:

NEW FOR THIS SEASON: We are building a new website that will allow us to better serve you! Our new site will allow you to register and pay for tournaments online. No more sending in paper and checks. We feel this is a much more efficient way of running our operations. We are shooting for the new website to be completed by end of March, giving everyone enough time to sign up, pay for golf and learn how to navigate the new website. We will be using this website to announce tee times and post results. We will communicate new site progress updates (including new web address) on the Google site that has been used in the past, accessible by Google-ing “Wheat Montana Golf Tour 2016.”

Exact starting times will be posted on the new website by Sunday prior to each tournament. You will be responsible for checking the website! All tournaments will continue to start at approximately 8:00 a.m.

NEW DEADLINE – Online registration and payment needs to be completed 1 week prior to tournament play- no exceptions. The previous policy deadline was 2 weeks.

PARENTS ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED!!! Each group of 4 golfers must have an official scorer. Parent involvement in this role is extremely vital in every tournament. Please consider volunteering, as often as possible, as a scorer. Scorers may use golf carts (provided free of charge), however, players must walk. Plus, you’ll get a free lunch! If you have a basic understanding of the game of golf, you can help these kids learn the game.
