Join us for our fourth annual bioblitz at the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve! As highly biodiverse areas, wetlands like the Indreland Preserve are a great place to experience being biologists and researchers for a day. An inaugural BioBlitz will not only allow for a fun and engaging outdoor learning experience, but also help with the long-term monitoring of the Indreland Preserve.

BioBlitz: Friday, July 18 - Saturday, July 19th

Pre-Blitz: Wednesday, July 16 6pm-7pm with keynote
speaker Doug Smith, “The Importance of Wildlife
Research” and hands-on training of the iNaturalist app

Post-Blitz: Saturday, July 19th at 6:30pm BBQ & Bonanza

During our BioBlitz weekend you can sign up for as many time blocks as you would like. Each survey lasts approximately 2 hours. Our 24 hour survey will take place Friday, July 18 at starting at 6:30PM through Saturday, July 19 ending at 6:30PM

Want to get involved with supporting your local wetlands? Become a Busy Beaver today! Becoming an Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve Busy Beaver is a great way to give back, deepen your understanding of watershed health, meet community members, receive free educational workshops, and get outside! Vision statement ~ the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve was set aside by Sacajawea Audubon Society to conserve and enhance a wetland community in an urban setting. The site will serve as an environmental study area offering education about wetland ecology accessible to all ages. Sacajawea Audubon society aims to document the effort of human influence on wetland communities and inspire the conservation, restoration, and enhancement of wetlands. Sacajawea Audubon Society strives to have positive impacts on wetland conservation that extends beyond the Gallatin watershed.
