So over the last weekend I was fortunate enough to attend two great events. Saturday evening I attended the honors banquet for the Democratic Party and then on Sunday, the St. Augustine picnic in Leopold. Thank you to all that attended the banquet and especially those that helped organize it. All my fellow candidates were amazing telling the crowd how excited they were to serve this community. Whether they realize it or not, they all spoke of being servant leaders. That is exactly what an elected official should be. Working hard to best serve the whole community without having to prove to anyone that they are the boss. True servant leaders do not need to feed their ego. They only need to know that their service has made people’s lives better. In 98 days this community has a chance to let their voices be heard. I would be honored if you make the choice to allow me to serve you as the Circuit Court Clerk.
On Sunday, it was a little less formal and a wonderful day at the picnic. The meal was outstanding and seeing the community socializing with each other was so satisfying. I got to talk to several people while there. Not about politics, but just about how things are going for them. That will tell the whole story as to what our community leaders need to know and to focus efforts on those issues.
I hope I will have your trust and support this November and for the next four years. My promise is to work hard for you to provide the best services that the Clerk’s Office can give to help anyone that needs it. If I can count on you hit the like button, drop a comment on what you would like see accomplished, and share the post for me.
I do have a few t-shirts left if anyone would like one and I will also be looking for people that might like to display a yard sign. Let me know and I will get back with you, but more importantly, get out and exercise you most powerful voice in the community. Show up on Election Day and cast your vote. It does matter and your vote does make a difference.
