As hay season begins, more tractors and farm equipment are traveling our local roads.

Please slow down, stay alert, and be patient when approaching farm machinery. These vehicles move much slower than regular traffic and may need extra room to make turns or navigate narrow roads.

✅ Slow down and use caution
✅ Pass only when it is safe and legal
✅ Watch for turning equipment
✅ Allow extra following distance

A few extra seconds of patience can prevent a tragedy. Let's work together to keep our farmers and our community safe!

⚠️ *** May 29,2026**** County Road 9510 North between 160 and 63 as well as County Road 9690 are both under water at the Howell Creek crossing and are impassable at this time. With more rain coming over the next several days, it is likely that more crossings may be impacted. If it doesn’t look safe, it probably isn’t. ⚠️

Had a good day with air evac. Teaching us LZ techniques. Had a few departments there with us. West plains, lanton, kosh, and thayer.
