We couldn't say it better ourselves
Today, we celebrate National Volunteer Firefighter Day and honor the men and women who give their time, energy, and courage to serve their communities. 🚒🔥
At Lanton Volunteer Fire Department, we’re proud to be part of an incredible fire service family here in Howell County, Missouri. We may wear different patches and serve different communities, but when the tones drop, we come together as one team with one mission — protecting our neighbors.
Today, we want to recognize and thank the firefighters and members of:
🔥 Brandsville Fire Protection District
🔥 Caulfield Membership Fire Department
🔥 Eleven Point Rural Fire Department
🔥 Howell County Rural Fire District #1
🔥 Moody Volunteer Fire Dept.
🔥 Mountain View MO Fire & Rescue
🔥 Peace Valley- White church Fire department
🔥 Pomona Fire Protection District
🔥 Pottersville Fire Department
🔥 Pumpkin Center Volunteer Fire Dept.
🔥 West Plains Fire & Rescue
🔥 Willow Springs Fire Department
And to all of the other fire departments and emergency service agencies throughout Howell County and our surrounding communities — thank you for the mutual aid, the training, the teamwork, and for always being willing to answer the call alongside us. 🤝
Being a volunteer firefighter means sacrificing evenings, weekends, holidays, and time with family to be there for someone who needs help. It means running toward the problem when others are running away, often without knowing what you’ll encounter when you arrive.
We don’t do it for recognition. We do it because our communities matter.
To every volunteer firefighter who puts on the gear, hears the tones, and answers the call — thank you for your service and your sacrifice. We are proud to stand beside you and serve alongside you. ❤️🔥🇺🇸
ONE TEAM. ONE MISSION. ONE COMMUNITY.
