Manette Park Improvement Project

Manette Park Improvement Project The Manette Park Improvement Project is a community fund-raising organization to revitalize and redesign the Manette Park.

After several well attended community master planning sessions, the Bremerton Parks & Recreation department has come up with a concept plan that incorporates community input and updated accessibility standards so everyone in our community can enjoy the park. The redesign of the park will include:
• A multi-sport court for tennis and basketball.
• Expanded upper level and upper lawn area.
• A four

table picnic shelter with adjoining seat steps that overlook the field.
• Expanded children’s play area with age group separation and embankment slide.
• Perimeter walking path (.29 miles) with accessible ramps and steps.
• The soccer field will have new underdrainage and lights.
• Improved restroom and drinking fountain.
• New fencing and accessible off-street parking.
• ADA parking access. The estimated the cost of the Manette Play Field redevelopment is $1.4 Million. We are actively seeking several competitive grants offered by the State as well as a National grant to fund this project. Community support is a vital piece of the grant selection process. We need to raise $75,000 of seed money to meet the grant criteria.
