🌲 Volunteers Needed! 🌲

We're looking for a few outdoor enthusiasts to lend a hand repairing damaged tree tubes and other tree protectors.

It's a great way to spend some time outdoors while helping care for our trees and conservation property. The project should take about a half day. Gene will be leading this project, so you can expect to learn a little (or a lot) about the rich history of the club and share a few laughes.

Unfortunately, due to the delays caused by April's flooding and the ongoing clubhouse restoration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Field Camp this year. While we're disappointed, the safety of our campers and volunteers comes first. Restoration work continues to move forward with progress on the new well and building approvals, and we're excited to welcome everyone back once repairs are complete!

Huge THANK YOU to Jason at Dri-rite Restoration & Cleaning, LLC
Jason reached out and volunteered his time and equipment to the Club after the flooding! His work helped preserve much of the flooring and walls. He dried and disinfected the building and is continuing to treat to make sure the building is safe for all! We can't thank him enough for his time and expertise.

The Lodge kitchen and bathroom are completely gutted. We'll be working hard to get everything back together as soon as possible for summer field camps! We are seeking volunteers to help with labor of bringing this clubhouse back to its former glory. We've been holding our productive planning sessions at the picnic table with all that beautiful spring inspiration.

Huge shout out to Tim and Gene for all of their hard work and the Road Commission for making the drive much smoother!

Thank you, Ken! For your thoughtful article on the SWCC. Most of our volunteer board members and officers are currently made up of community members actively working in education or retired from it. We believe in the conservation of our natural resources and guiding the future generations to do the same. SWCC is a special place for so many people.
