Please consider helping a local family in crisis. Donations of clothing, groceries, diapers, and basic necessities are urgently needed for the wife and three children of a man currently detained at Delaney Hall.

Last night, a man from Atlantic City was reportedly beaten while detained at Delaney Hall. Those helping his family have shared that he may choose to self-deport rather than risk being transferred far away, leaving his family without their main source of support.

Regardless of our views on immigration policy, these are fellow human beings who came here seeking a better life. Many detainees have not committed crimes and were detained while attending immigration court check-ins. Being undocumented is a civil offense, not a criminal one.

Donations can be brought to Saturday’s (June 6th) Brigantine Physical Therapy and Fitness seminar, “How to Live to Be 100.”

Needed items:
• Summer clothes [Girls, size 24 months or 2T (for twins) and Boy, size 7]
• Groceries
• Toilet paper
• Toothpaste
• Size 4 diapers

We are incredibly relieved and grateful that our group leader, Megan, is safe after being beaten and arrested during last night’s protest outside Delaney Hall. No one exercising their right to speak out for human dignity should have to fear violence or intimidation.

Megan was released after only a few hours, but the immigrants detained inside Delaney Hall do not have that same privilege. They continue to face fear, uncertainty, and unsafe conditions while separated from their families and communities.

We will continue to speak out against abusive treatment, demand accountability and transparency, and stand in solidarity with the immigrant community. No one should be dehumanized or disappeared into a system without dignity, due process, or compassion.

We are thankful Megan is safe. And we will keep fighting for those who are still not free.

Reminder to join us for this upcoming event on Saturday, June 6th.
