We are taking this step because it is time for progressive unity, black and brown coalition building, and because Brandon Johnson has made a commitment to our members to support our 15th Ward Collective Agenda!

Last week, close to 50 community members came together to create a collective agenda and Brandon Johnson has committed to supporting our issues which include prioritizing safety by expanding opportunities, recommending a capital project budget to build stand-alone libraries, and ensuring that undocumented people are supported and have a voice in city government!

EMERGENCY HOUSING BILL STUCK IN THE SENATE:

Please give Senator Murphy a call at 847-718-1110 or 217-782-3875 and urge her to pass this bill to strengthen the eviction moratorium and stop foreclosures!

This bill creates critical protections for those facing eviction during the pandemic, creates clear guidelines to ensure tenants receive Emergency Rental Assistance, and institutes a foreclosure moratorium.
