Celebrated Colorado Rockies Opening Day a little early yesterday with some awesome energy in our school kitchens! 💜⚾️

⚾️💜 It’s almost time for a fan favorite—Rockies Opening Day in our cafeterias! We are celebrating Thursday April 2nd!💜⚾️

We’re bringing the ballpark to our kitchens with a fun, themed menu your students are going to love! 🎉 On the menu:
🌭 Classic Hot Dog
🍇 Cool Tropic Grape Slushies
🌽 And a special appearance from our corn mascot sporting a Rockies cap!

Our team is excited to create a fun, engaging experience that keeps students smiling and connected—because school meals are about more than just food, they’re about community 💛

Feeling lucky? Tomorrow — March 17th — every school and every lunch group will have a chance to strike gold at lunch! 🌈✨

A few very lucky trays will be hiding a special surprise… a shamrock sticker! 🍀

If you find the mysterious shamrock, congratulations — you’ve just won a Lucky Tray Prize! 🎉🎁

⚔️🥞 The Quest for School Breakfast Has Come to an End! 🥞⚔️

What an incredible adventure this week has been as we celebrated National School Breakfast Week! Our schools truly embraced the fun, creativity, and spirit of the quest. 🏰✨

From castles and dragons to fairylands and adventure maps, students and staff across the district helped turn breakfast into a magical journey each morning. We loved seeing the creativity at every school — including more amazing moments from Eagle Ridge Academy, Quist Middle School, and Northeast Elementary in today’s photos! 📸

A huge thank you to all of our incredible nutrition services teams who made the magic happen all week long. Your energy, decorations, costumes, and delicious breakfasts helped students start their day ready to learn and succeed. 💪🍎

And of course… we can’t forget the surprise visit from Cam the Corn 👑🌽 Cam ate EVERY day this week, vanquishing his hunger and earning a royal reward from 👑Queen Sarah. (seriously… where do you find a crown that small?).

Thank you to everyone who joined the quest this week. Remember — every great day still starts with a great breakfast! 🌟

🏰🥞 The Quest for School Breakfast is almost complete! 🥞🏰

Tomorrow marks the final day of our National School Breakfast Week adventure, and what a quest it has been! Our schools truly rose to the challenge and brought the theme “The Quest for School Breakfast” to life in the most magical ways. ✨

🗺️ Brantner Elementary built an incredible castle out of lunch crates and even created an Adventure Map for students to collect stamps to earn a prize.
🏰 Henderson Elementary transformed their serving line into a castle fit for royalty.
🧚 Northeast Elementary School became a mystical fairyland and welcomed a very special guest — our Superintendent, Will Pierce.
🐉 Belle Creek Charter Schoolguarded their breakfast line with dragons and fun coloring pages for young adventurers.
🎨 Landmark Academy at Reunion showcased beautiful freehand artwork to bring the quest theme to life.
🛡️ Riverdale Ridge High School joined the adventure in style with staff wearing matching themed aprons, ready to serve up breakfast fit for champions.

👑 And did anyone notice the surprise appearance from Cam the Corn? We have just one question… where do you even find a crown that small? 🌽👑

Our heroes (students!) have been fueling up each morning to power their learning adventures, and we’re not done yet!

Every great quest begins with a strong start — and breakfast is where the journey begins. When students fuel up with a healthy school breakfast, they’re ready to learn, explore, and conquer the day ahead! 💪📚

Adams County School District 27J serves breakfast and lunches at 25 locations across central Colorado including Brighton, Commerce City, Henderson and Thornton. We strive to provide delicious and healthy meals to students so they can return to the classroom to learn.
