As United Way of Southwest Virginia continues to assess the damage from the winter storm flooding across the region, we will share any reported needs as soon as possible in order to deploy support to those in need.

Dickenson County, Virginia:
Donation Center will be set-up at the Dickenson Center for Education and Research
Sunday, February 16th from 2-6 PM
Monday, February 17th from 10- 6 PM
Volunteers and donated supplies are requested.

Any additional needs will be shared as they are received.

Important Reminder for GRAYSON COUNTY! Don't Forget:

Do you have debris from Hurricane Helene? Beginning November 18, 2024, debris removal crews will be picking up the following Hurricane Helene related debris in Grayson County.

Place your Hurricane Helene related debris at the edge of your property, by the nearest public roadway. Debris removal crews cannot go on private property.

You must place your debris into separate piles (Vegetative, Demolition materials, and tires). If you have larger appliances or household hazardous waste, that also must be in a separate pile to be picked up by a crew from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If you have any questions, please reach out to your local emergency manager.

✅ Vegetative debris like branches, limbs, logs, trees and bushes
✅ Damage/demolition materials like drywall, wood, insulation, siding, furnishings and roofing materials.
✅ Tires

❌ Do not put your debris in the roadway.
❌ Do not put your debris in drainage ditches.
❌ Do not bag your debris.
