This from a commissioner candidate mailer today. I have already addressed that our financials in their entirety are posted on the county website.
Did you know our meetings are open to the public and are required by law to have notice posted? They are and we go one step further by posting minutes and recordings of the meetings using a software that allows you to decide what part of the meeting you want to hear. We have done this since 2012!

We keep hearing some of our candidates for County Commissioner talk about "Transparency" in local government. Did you know that for many years our entire budget, levies, valuations and EVERY PAYMENT MADE has been listed for public view on the county website?
To say they cannot find where the money is being spent is lazy at best and dishonest at worst.
Our office was given the Sunshine Award by Freedom of Information Oklahoma for our efforts in Transparency!
