I’m not exactly sure who I need to reach out to in this group, but if you’re the right person — or if you can point me in the right direction — could you please message me?
I’m trying to responsibly rehome a very sweet outdoor cat, and I want to make sure I handle this the right way. This isn’t something I’m taking lightly at all. He is such a loving, special boy, and his situation deserves to be explained properly and in full detail. I don’t want to just post a quick “free cat” message and send him off to the first person who responds. He cannot go to just anyone. If he ends up in the wrong home, I truly believe he would be returned — and that would be devastating for him.
He deserves stability. He deserves understanding. He deserves someone who truly fits him.
There are important details about his personality, his needs, and his background that I want to share privately with anyone seriously interested. I’m trying to make sure that whoever takes him understands his situation completely so he has the best chance at a forever home — not just a temporary one.
The hardest part is that I can’t keep him, no matter how much I wish I could. If love alone were enough, he would already have everything he needs. I care about him deeply. He’s incredibly sweet, affectionate in his own way, and has so much love to give. Watching him settle for less than he deserves breaks my heart.
Right now, I know he deserves more than I’m able to provide. He deserves consistency, safety, and a home that truly fits his personality and needs. This isn’t about giving him away — it’s about finding him something better. Something permanent. Something right.
If you are the admin, a rescue contact, or someone experienced with proper rehoming processes, please reach out. If you know who I should be speaking to, please tag them or send me a message. I want to do this responsibly and thoughtfully.
I love this sweet boy so much. That’s exactly why I’m trying to make sure he ends up somewhere truly fitting for him.
Please help me find the right path for him. 🤍
