Using his partial veto authority, the governor took what was originally a short-term school funding increase and turned it into a policy lasting until the year 2425.
It is important to understand what this means as the Elmbrook School District is going to be proposing a referendum somewhere between $85-105M. Use this tax calculator to see what your taxes might look like in 2030.

To everyone who supported me—thank you.
Your encouragement, your time, and your belief in what we were fighting for meant more than I can fully express.

This election took place in a difficult environment. There was a clear wave of frustration among voters, and even though national figures like Donald Trump weren’t on the ballot, that energy found its way into local races like ours. We felt that impact.

But this isn’t the end—it’s simply the next chapter.

School board races are local, and they can shift quickly. The decisions made by this new board will directly affect our students, our families, and our taxpayers. That means our responsibility doesn’t end here.

We stay engaged.
We pay attention.
We document what happens.
And we make sure our community understands the real impact of those decisions when the next election comes.

The fight for our kids isn’t over.
The fight for responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars isn’t over.

And neither is our commitment.

Thank you again for standing with me.

—Kevin
