Happy Holidays Friends and Colleagues
Elders Share the Arts programs are thriving: Pearls of Wisdom at DOROT, and our community based programs at Teachers & Writers Collaborative.
Of course, we are still awaiting final notice from the Attorney General’s office for the official closure of ESTA.
Our materials are archived at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in their National Arts Policy Archives and Library. As soon as we have a direct link, we will let you know that information.

A FOND FAREWELL!
Elders Share the Arts is now closing our doors – the final chapter in our 40-year history.
The history of ESTA is archived at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst National Arts Policy Archive & Library. You can find us at: http://scua.library.umass.edu/umarmot/tag/e/page/2/.
The U/Mass archives will also receive a video oral history documentary with interviews provided by teaching artists, administrators, grantors and Board members. Many of the extraordinary people who created and ran the programs are included. And you can find a record of the founding and development of the field of Creative Aging, as well as materials from the National Center for Creative Aging.

We are grateful to Teachers & Writers Collaborative (212.691.6590) and to DOROT (212.769.2850), for continuing ESTA’s legacy with ongoing programs serving local communities in New York City. We also express our gratitude to the ESTA Board of Directors for their efforts over these many years.

And, thanks to all of you for your support and interest over the years in creating opportunities for older people, and their communities, through the arts.

Dear Friends of ESTA,
HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a HEALTHY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Elders Share the Arts has moved our programs to like-minded institutions, and we are grateful to Teachers & Writers Collaborative, DOROT, and LifeTime Arts. Our 40-year history is now archived at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst National Arts Policy Archive & Library.
The enthusiastic director has suggested that we create a narrative documentary for archival as well as for other uses. So, we are currently planning and organizing this project while we wait to hear from the Attorney General about the final, and official, closure of ESTA. Could take up to a year!!
The documentary will tell the story of ESTA and the extraordinary people who created and ran the programs to engage communities in which we all wish to grow older. We look forward to working on this visual document that will record the founding and development of the field of creative aging.
