Bridging Access to Care honors the memory of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.⁣

On this day, we reflect on his words – Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. (“Letter from a Birmingham Jail” written in April 1963) and cannot agree more that shared accountability and responsibility are essential to our community’s integrity. ⁣

Join the worldwide movement of #GivingTuesday!

Today is #WorldAIDSDay and #GivingTuesday. Today we remember and honor the lives we've lost and to celebrate those who continue to live a productive life due to progress made in screening, testing, and treatment.

As the first HIV/AIDS organization in Brooklyn, Bridging Access to Care is now a multi-service community health care organization.

Today and every day, we remain committed to ending this epidemic in New York. We do this by routinizing HIV screening and testing and coordinating health and behavioral health care for persons living with HIV/AIDS using an evidence-based and trauma-informed approach.

Please consider supporting our work.

During these challenging times, the priorities of Bridging Access to Care are to ensure our staff and clients remain safe and healthy and to address some of the immediate needs of the communities we serve. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pa...

While it is important to acknowledge their deaths, we must learn to celebrate the lives of Transgender people. Give them their flowers while they are still here. Transgender life is valuable and should be celebrated as such.

This is a list of the trans people who have died from October 6th, 2019 to September 30th, 2020. This may not be a complete list as we do not know who’s deaths were not reported or were not recognized as transgender. In their memory, please. #saytheirnames:

Hello Everyone, my name is Joy Carter. I'm a community health worker apart of the Prevention Education team! I just wanted to reach out and share some tips that we've been posting on our Prevention Education Page! If you like this post, head over to our group and check out some of our other posts. We've spoken about COVID-19, Healthy Eating, Self Care, and today's topic is quarantine hairstyles and hair care! Okay, I'll say it first, I NEED MY HAIR DONE! They say when you look good, you feel good! My hair is natural and I know a lot of my natural ladies and gents can relate, it is almost another full time job maintaining your curls! Well here are some products I use to keep my hair moisturized during this quarantine! 1.I wash my hair every two weeks, only because personally, if I wash my hair too often, I'll get a head cold. 2. I let my hair airdry for the most part, then I blow dry it on cool. 3. I've been leaving it in a bun, but twist outs, braids, and even wigs if you wear them are a necessity for this time. *PRODUCTS I USE* OGX Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner Garlic Hot Oil Treatment (Can be made at home & use a heat cap) Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey Here's a link on how to make your hot oil treatment at home! Enjoy :)
