Ulmer Park Library

Ulmer Park Library Ulmer Park Library opened as a sub-library in 1951, and within five years grew into a full library.

Ulmer Park houses a large Russian and Chinese book collection and it became the first BPL branch to implement computer-networked circulation.

Artslife is now accepting applications for our 2026 Summer Program - apply by May 17 at 11:59 PM!

Artslife is a paid, six-week summer internship for 10 rising sophomores and juniors who live in New York City and attend a NYC public or charter high school. This dynamic program blends art and design, leadership development, museum studies, and community engagement. Interns gain hands-on experience working behind the scenes at MAD, creating digital content, collaborating on teen programming, and exploring creative careers across the city.

Program Highlights
Work closely with artists, educators, and museum professionals
Go behind the scenes at MAD and learn about museum careers
Create digital content and contribute to teen-centered programming

Collaborate with a creative cohort of peers from across NYC
Participate in field trips to cultural institutions citywide
Paid internship experience
