Tram Evans North Star Foundation, Inc. Education, support, and a nurturing community for individuals affected by Alcohol Use Disorder or Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome and their loved ones.

A few weeks ago in Maine, we watched that mission come to life at our first sober music festival. People showed up. They listened, connected, volunteered, supported one another and reminded us exactly why community is at the heart of everything we do.

TENS was created in Tram’s memory, but you are the reason his legacy continues to grow. Every person who shows up, shares our story, gives their time or supports our work helps us reach another individual or family who may need education, treatment resources or simply the reminder that they are not alone. 🩺🤍

There are so many ways to be part of what comes next — volunteer, donate, attend an event, become a sponsor or simply help us spread the word. Your support helps make our educational resources, community events and recovery support possible.

This is Tram’s legacy. This is our mission. And you are a part of it. 👪

We provide free education and recovery resources, help individuals and families understand their options and connect people with trusted treatment providers when professional care is needed. Through our Support Program, we’re also working to make treatment more accessible for those facing financial barriers.

Whether you’re looking for help for yourself or someone you love, you don’t have to figure out what comes next alone. 👪

There is help. There is community. There is hope. And there is so much life still ahead.

You want to help. You don’t want to say the wrong thing. And you may not realize when drinking has crossed the line from concerning to medically dangerous. ⚠️

For our family, that danger became devastatingly real. Tram lost his life to alcohol withdrawal at just 25 years old.

His story is why TENS Foundation exists. We want to make sure more families understand the risks, recognize the warning signs and know where to turn before it’s too late. 🤍

Start with compassion. Ask the questions. Know the signs. And never assume someone who is physically dependent on alcohol can simply “just stop.”

Save this guide. Share it with a family who may need it. And visit the link in our bio for free education and resources about getting sober safely.

TENS Foundation exists because Tram’s family learned that reality in the most devastating way. Tram lost his life to Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome at just 25 years old.

Our mission is to change the way we talk about Alcohol Use Disorder and Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome — to replace stigma with education, make the dangers of withdrawal common knowledge and help people understand that asking for medical support isn’t a weakness. It can save your life. 🩺🤍

We’re here to educate, advocate, connect people with resources & support and to make sure fewer families have to learn about the dangers of alcohol withdrawal the hard way.

Getting sober can change your life. Getting sober safely can save it. 🙏

Every like, comment and share helps spread awareness. If you feel called to donate to our mission, click the link in our bio. We appreciate your support more than you know.

Grief doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

Sometimes it’s losing someone you love. Sometimes it’s losing a relationship, a version of your life, or the person you thought you would be. Sometimes it comes with recovery, change or learning how to live differently than you did before.

And sometimes, you’re simply carrying something heavy that no one else can see.

On National Grief Awareness Day, we want you to know you don’t have to carry it alone. 🤍

If you’re struggling, please reach out. We’re here to educate, advocate and support conversations that can help people find a safer way forward.

Shaking hands, tremors, sweating, anxiety and a racing heart can all be signs of alcohol withdrawal, not just the aftermath of drinking ⚠️

For someone who has developed a physical dependence on alcohol or has certain underlying health conditions, withdrawal symptoms can become more severe and, in some cases, life-threatening.

Knowing the difference matters, and knowing when to seek medical help matters 🫶

TENS Foundation’s mission is to help people get sober safely.

If you believe this information could save a life, please consider donating to help us continue spreading awareness and connecting people with support 🤍

Alcohol dependence doesn’t always happen all at once. Sometimes, it creeps up on you.

A drink becomes a few. Drinking occasionally becomes drinking regularly. And over time, your body can become physically dependent on alcohol without you realizing just how much has changed.

Then, when you try to stop, withdrawal can become part of the story.

Alcohol withdrawal isn’t talked about nearly enough. It can be serious, even life-threatening, and knowing the signs can make all the difference⚠️

That’s why we keep talking about it. TENS Foundation exists to raise awareness about Alcohol Use Disorder and Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome and help more people get sober safely 🩺🤍

The more we know, the more lives we can protect.
Please consider donating to help us continue spreading awareness and connecting people with the support they need to get sober safely 🫂

This is what alcohol withdrawal can look like 😧

Shaking and tremors can begin within hours of the last drink. They can be a sign that the body has become physically dependent on alcohol and is struggling to function without it.

These warning signs shouldn’t be ignored ⚠️

Alcohol withdrawal can progress quickly and, in severe cases, become life-threatening.

At TENS Foundation, we believe more people need to know what these warning signs look like and understand that getting sober safely may require medical support 🫶
