On November 3, 2026, Floridians will vote on Amendment 1, a proposed constitutional amendment that would significantly expand the state's Budget Stabilization Fund, commonly known as the rainy-day fund. The proposal would increase the fund's maximum balance from 10% to 25% of annual general revenue

Today, we launched an investigation into corporation-created insurance policies that stop Florida homeowners from hiring outside help with their claims.

Some companies are using clauses that ban licensed public adjusters—and may even reject a claim if you hire one. Homeowners who use these advocates can get up to 30% more money. We are looking into whether carriers worked together to keep payouts lower for Florida’s homeowners.
