📚✨ Celebrating Literacy in Our Community!✨📚

What an incredible day for literacy and community collaboration! We were proud to join Save the Children and other community organizations at the Park of Dreams for the ribbon cutting of the new Born Reading Trail, a wonderful addition that will inspire children and families to read, explore, and enjoy the great outdoors together.

Our department was honored to support this special occasion by providing burgers, hot dogs, and all the trimmings for attendees to enjoy. 🌭🍔

A special thank you to Karetha Taylor of Save the Children for inviting us to be a part of this well-attended and meaningful community event. Your commitment to strengthening literacy and creating opportunities for our children is truly appreciated!

Aquatics programs deliver a public-safety service that families trust with their time, their money and their children. When swimmers drop mid-session or lose skills after long breaks, the consequences show up fast; parent frustration, overcrowded repeat roster, staff fatigue and, most importantly, more community members who skill can't manage themselves around water with confidence.

🎉 BINGO AT WEST HAYWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! 🎉

What a wonderful morning at West Haywood Community Center, also known as Bailey School, for our BINGO Game! 🏆🎲

Today’s event was proudly co-sponsored by the Gause Family and the Brownsville-Haywood County Parks and Recreation Department. We are incredibly grateful to the Gause Family for sponsoring more than 50 amazing and varied prizes for our BINGO participants! 🎁👏🏾

We were also pleased to have Haywood County Commissioner Leonard Jones in attendance. Commissioner Jones enjoyed spending the morning with the constituents of the district he proudly serves, visiting with neighbors, sharing laughs, and enjoying the fellowship. 🤝🏾❤️

Events like BINGO remind us that community is about more than recreation; it’s about connection, fellowship, laughter, and bringing people together!
