Companions for Heroes supports veterans and first responders by connecting them with dogs that can make a life-changing difference, whether that's a trained service dog providing assistance or a companion dog offering comfort, connection, and unconditional support.

Because sometimes healing comes with four paws, a wagging tail, and a friend who never asks you to explain. ❤️

While many of us look forward to fireworks, tonight can be one of the hardest nights of the year for many veterans, first responders, and their service dogs.

For some, the sound of fireworks can trigger anxiety, hypervigilance, or memories they never asked to carry. A service dog is often the steady presence that provides comfort, grounding, and unwavering support when it's needed most.

As you celebrate today, please remember our four-legged heroes, and pets everywhere. Keep them safely indoors, make sure they're wearing current identification tags (and their microchip information is up to date), and provide a quiet, secure place where they can feel safe.

Today, we honor all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who show up every day with strength, love, and dedication.
At Companions for Heroes, we know that some of the strongest fathers are the ones who have also served their communities and our country. Whether you're a veteran, first responder, or simply a dad doing your best to lead your family well, your sacrifices matter and your example leaves a lasting legacy.
Thank you for the lessons you teach, the support you give, and the lives you help shape.

If you had 10 minutes to evacuate… would your dog be taken care of?

In response to the Brantley County wildfires, animal food has been delivered and is being placed where it’s needed most through KP Treats LLC
In the middle of so much uncertainty, families are doing everything they can to take care of their dogs, and we’re honored to stand behind the people making that possible!
KP Treats is doing the hard, hands-on work of getting supplies directly to those who need them, and we’re proud to support them!

We’re honored to be partnering with KP Treats LLC to help support dogs and the people caring for them during this incredibly difficult time.

Families are being displaced quickly- and for many, their dogs are coming with them scared, overwhelmed, and needing care.
Together, we’re working to make sure no one has to worry about how they’re going to provide for the dogs depending on them right now!
