Community Service Project - The Brush High School Baking and Pastry, Prostart, and FCCLA organizations are off to a great start with their second annual community service project. These food-focused student groups have been gathering donations from the community to help out families this holiday season with meals. In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, the students made over fifty take and bake meals for families to enjoy this holiday season. The students will continue their efforts into the Christmas season, and hope to make another fifty to sixty meals to send home with families. Students and staff at Brush High School would like to give a huge thank you to the generous businesses and individuals who have donated to this community service project so far. If you are interested in contributing to this project, donations can be delivered to the Brush Secondary Campus front office or mailed to Brush High School - Catering/FCCLA. If any families or individuals would like to receive a holiday meal this Christmas, please contact Lana Schamberger at [email protected]. http://edne.tw/n884310

Building Accountability Meeting - Thursday, November 16th at 4 pm - Parents and Guardians,

We will be hosting a Building Accountability Meeting on Thursday, November 16 at 4 PM in the middle school flex space. Our focus will be answering your competency based learning questions.

Additionally, two changes you will notice in the Empower system this week are * on assignment titles where students had opportunities to achieve a level 4 and the correction of due dates in Empower. These changes should be finalized by all teachers by the end of the week. When looking at scores on any assignment, it is important to compare the target score to the student score.

Thanks,

BSC Administration

Padres y tutores,

Gracias,

Administración del BSC http://edne.tw/n882633

Brush High School Drama Club is proud to present "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" adapted by Dwayne Hartford, from the book by Kate DiCamillo, and featuring music by Kyle Sorrell.

"Edward Tulane is an expensive toy rabbit made of china. He is loved by a little girl named Abilene, but Edward doesn’t care. He is vain and self-centered. He has no interest in anyone other than himself. On an ocean voyage, Edward is accidentally thrown overboard and sinks to the bottom of the sea. So begins his journey—a journey over which he has no control, for he is a toy rabbit. He can neither move nor speak. As years pass by, Edward meets many different people in many different situations: an older grieving couple who find comfort in Edward’s presence, a hobo and his dog who introduce Edward to a whole community of homeless wanderers, a farmer in need of a scarecrow, a sad little boy and his very ill sister, and finally a doll mender and an old doll who teach Edward an invaluable lesson. Through this miraculous journey, Edward learns what it is to love, what it is to lose that love, and how to find the courage to love again."
