Hello Oldham County residents! We are excited to announce the return of our CAIP and YAIP programs this summer! ☀️

Here are some program dates to know:

CAIP application window: July 1st-31st
YAIP application window: August 1st-31st
Information Meeting with Oldham County Co-op Extension Service: Tuesday, July 8th, 6:00-8:00pm at the Extension Office.

Please note that applications WILL NOT be accepted before or after these dates.

The Oldham County Conservation District is excited to announce the OC Agriculture & Conservation Public Forum, in conjunction with Oldham County Co-op Extension Service.

We want to hear from YOU Oldham County! On Wednesday, June 18th, at 6:00pm, join us for an opportunity to share your feedback on the current programs offered by our organizations, and help us develop our future plans for programming. Our goal is to get as much feedback as possible, so that we can ensure our county's needs are being adequately addressed.

The event will be held at the John Black Community Center. No registration required. Please contact OCCD District Program Director Mason Quiram (502-702-9090, [email protected]) or Extension Agent Gretchen Winslow (502-222-9453, [email protected]) with any questions.

The OCCD is excited for our 4th Annual Pond & Lake Management Workshop, in partnership with Currys Fork Watershed and the Oldham County Extension Office. The event will take place this Saturday, March 22nd from 9am-1pm. Location provided upon registration. The theme of this year’s workshop: “Backyard Waters: Tailored Solutions for Pond and Lake Management”

Those who attend this workshop can expect a morning full of expert speakers, tabling vendors and other resources, networking opportunities, light refreshments and door prizes!
We encourage pond and lake owners/enthusiasts of all levels of expertise to attend!
