I am so proud to announce that our little Black Rock Key Bank on Amherst St. has achieved an amazing status. Branch manager, Tammy Wagner, earned spot #18 out of 963 managers in the Eastern Region and Tanekqua Middlebrooks( pictured) ranked #7 out of 1,917 personal bankers! The business association presented them with roses for their hard work. Tammy was too busy working (of course) to stand still for a picture! Bravo ladies! Go see them for your business or personal money matters! They are amazing!

Another stocking stuffer to make your life easier! See you tonight!!!!

On Thursday, December 14, the Black Rock Historical Society will welcome photographer/author Michael Mulley who will present his latest book, "Black Rock in Black and White: The Storied Neighborhood Past and Present". In addition, Michael will also have available his previous books including “Buffalo in Black and White”, “Bygone Buffalo”, “The Dives of Our Lives”, and “My Blues Journey”.

Mr. Mulley is the owner of the Queen City Gallery which opened in 2007 in the Historic Market Arcade (617 Main Street) in the heart of Buffalo's Theater District. The gallery features his photographs of Buffalo architecture as well as exhibits from local and regional artists. The Gallery is also home to the Queen City Co-op featuring a bevy of local artists working in a wide range of media.

In 2008, Queen City Press was launched with the "Buffalo in Black & White" Photography Book. It was followed in April that year with "The First Ward: Photographs by Michael Mulley”. Since then, the imprint has published six other titles including "Bygone Buffalo", "People Like You" and "25 Years" celebrating 25 years working as a photographer. In November 2023, his newest "Black Rock in Black and White: The Storied Neighborhood Past and Present" was released.

Mr. Mulley will be available at the BRHS Museum from 4 until 7 p.m. to greet visitors and sign his books. This is a free event and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

This cost me $2.99 to do. The pine branches are scraps from Christmas tree lots and I got the bow 1/2 price at Big Lots. I will spray pine cones( that I've collected on numerous wood hikes)with sparkle paint later and add them! Be the change! This took me 15 minutes assemble.
