We have received several calls regarding the dumping taking place near Schiller Park. Dumping is illegal and is a finable offense.

Today I posted temporary signage, in an effort to deter the dumping. Permanent signage and other measures are in motion.

Our Public Works department has been helpful in picking up the trash multiple times this year, but the dumping has been overwhelming.

Please know I will be doing everything possible to stop the dumping at our park.

Received calls regarding grafitti on Doat Street this morning. My staff and I were out to cover it today. We have asked the impact team to come back and clean up the weeds, trash and debris as well.

Also including pictures from other clean up projects my office and I have completed on our days working out in the district over the past few weeks.

I have received many calls from concerned business owners and residents this evening. I am hopeful tonight remains peaceful in our district and across the City of Buffalo.

I have been in contact with the Buffalo Police Department several times today, they have a multi-tiered law enforcement presence in each district including Lovejoy.

Please remember the curfew begins for all of Erie County tonight at 9 pm - 6 am tomorrow morning.

Please donate if you can.

Dear Councilman Bollman . While celebrating the fourth of July with your family please know That the 420 + softball players in the city will not be allowed to play this season. We were lied to again By deputy Commissioner Andrew Rabb. We were told if we quarantined, wore masks, and social distanced we would be Granted phase 4 status and be allowed to return to the parks. Recreation is a big part of Phase 4. Andy Rabb had months to get the parks department ready for phase 4. The leagues worked on plans to be able to play softball safely with proper safe distance standards developed by the States HHS. Mr. Rabb refuses to even look at our permit applications. Whenever Andy is forced to make a decision on adult recreation leagues he defaults to the needs of the “Youth Leagues” citing some secret passage in the city charter putting youth leagues ahead of Adult leagues. When pressed he never produces this secret passage he instead smugly says he is not required to produce the document but his word is law. We do not take away fields or space from Youth Leagues but he uses that excuse to close fields and deny access to adult leagues. Please find out why adult league permits were cancelled for this year. If the city is not able to afford the maintenance on the fields we suggested the parks department lease the diamonds to the leagues and we’ll pay for the upkeep. The suburban leagues start next week. If recent events the last couple of weeks show anything It’s that the people and taxpayers are tired of Elected officials not listening to the voice of the people. Government should work towards the needs of the people not the other way around. We shouldn’t have to jump through hoops every year to get to use the fields our taxes and permit fees pay for. If the city can’t afford to maintain these fields they should be turned over to the leagues. The lying must stop. We ask for equal protection. Please get back to me. Thank you for your time and support. Michael A. Damico 553-3839
Thank you for standing up today with your budget vote! It was great to see you standing with the people you represent, as always!
So, we can assume the Thin Blue Line flag will come down, at least below the US Flag?
Reminder of the KFA meeting tomorrow night (wed.) at 6 pm. We will send the link!
Sir, in your travels, would you please inspect the grounds on front of the Machnica Center on Clinton in Kaisertown? The strip between the building and the sidewalk has weeds a foot high and lots of garbage. It really depreciates the beautiful building. It would be greatly appreciated if you could get the City to clean it up.
FREE MASK GIVEAWAY May 22nd between 3:30-4:30 PM. A Note from The Kaisertown Friends Association: We will be distributing 2 masks per person, in each car at the Peter Machnica Center. These masks have been delivered to the district via Erie County Executive Mark Polancarz and Lovejoy District Councilman Bryan Bollman. Please pull in front of the Machnica Community Center, stay in your vehicle, roll down passenger window 6". Wait for someone from the KFA to approach your car. We will pass the masks to you through the window. We will be using hand sanitizer between vehicles, and wearing masks. Please obey traffic laws, as well, and do not idle in intersections, and be patient! MASKS WILL BE GIVEN OUT ON A FIRST COME/FIRST SERVED BASIS. If we run out of masks we will end this event early.
If the pandemic is as bad as the government and medical personnel have been reporting, then why not open up schools, offices, hotels...to.the homeless?
Bryan, thank you for stopping in to the Buffalo Curling Club! We’re excited to be in the neighborhood. Thanks for sharing our upcoming events at the Buffalo Curling Club!
Great guy cares about the neighborhood!
We would like to grats you on love joy council member have a wonderful year 😀🎉🎊🎇🎆
I’m here so is 88 still a nuisance LoL
Bryan, if you are not on the list of supporters in the Common Council for the request to amend the new no-bail law, please do so. This extreme swing in the opposite direction lacks all common sense.
