At CLaRI Today- using a checklist to practice applying context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words, phonemic awareness instruction to practice sounding out words, and filling out a story map to get the gist of a text.

CLaRI's Summer One-to-one Reading and Writing program will be held this year from Wednesday, July 6 to Tuesday, August 9th. Certified literacy specialists provide individualized reading & writing instruction to children entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. Volunteer Teaching Opportunity
The Charter School of Inquiry is located on the East side and it's a great experience for anyone who is interested in urban education or getting more experience with children. We have a free after school program that runs from 3:30-5:30.Volunteers can teach in different areas and are welcome to lead or create different activities that the children would be able to participate in.
