Erie County Department of Social Services The Department of Social Services is responsible for administering social services programs to individuals and families in Erie County. The Erie County Department of Social Services (ECDSS) uses social media to inform the residents of Erie County about the services provided by ECDSS and other community partners.

Our friends at SNAP-Ed are offering a series of free nutrition-budgeting courses through spring season

The free nutrition classes, entitled, "Save Time. Save Money. Eat Healthy." are available to any interested individual. The classes are taking place on Thursday mornings from 10-11 a.m. through April 15, 2021.

The classes will be held via Zoom. All are welcome to join the family friendly courses, which include a SNAP-Ed nutritionist discussing nutrition, prepping healthy meals and snacks, eating well on a budget, losing weight and physical activity. The classes are coordinated through Cornell Cooperative Extension.

The schedule of courses includes:
◾March 25 - Eating Healthy on a Budget.
◾April 1 - Tips for Losing Weight.
◾April 8 - Building Your Healthy Lifestyle.
