(1)

NYSHOA currently has over 240 registered officials, who are supplied to over 22 ice hockey leagues and associations throughout the Western New York region. We officiate every age classification, including Youth House and Travel, MOHL, Adult, Juniors, Modified, High School, and even Roller and Sled Hockey. Our officials are among the top officials in the state, with many of our current members having experience at the professional, collegiate, and international levels of play. Some of our members also act as USA Hockey trained evaluators. Members have the ability to request their own game evaluations, where they are provided instant feedback of their performance. New members, starting at the age of 14, are accepted after completing an application and a skating test. Experience is not necessary to be considered. NYSHOA takes pride in being the premier grassroots hockey officials association, and is the first stepping stone to officiate at the next level. Our goal is to make you the best ice hockey official you can be. JOIN TODAY!

A penalized player sustains an injury, leaves the ice, and is replaced by a player on the penalty bench. The injured player returns to the ice while there is still time remaining in his penalty and scores a goal. The official should:
A) allow the goal, assess no penalty and have that player serve the remainder of his penalty
B) allow the goal and assess a bench minor penalty
C) disallow the goal, assess no penalty and have that player serve the remainder of his penalty
D) disallow the goal and assess a minor penalty to that player
E) disallow the goal and assess a bench minor penalty?

Another most missed question!

09/03/2016

A coach is assessed a bench minor for abusive language in the first period. The coach uses abusive language again in the third period. The referee shall call:
A) assess the coach a game misconduct
B) assess another bench minor
C) assess the coach a match penalty

By the way, this is a most kissed test question!

08/31/2016

When should an official immediately stop play for an injured player?
A) Never. You must always wait until the injured player's team has gained possession of the puck.
B) At all times. Even if he injury appears to be minor.
C) if the injury appears to be serious

Look it up and know it.....

Question: May a penalized player leave the penalty bench during a time out?
