Many state parks and beaches have reduced parking by 50% and popular destinations will close early as lots fill. Do not park along roadsides or other undesignated areas. Plan ahead by checking our website and having alternate destinations ready if needed. When visiting please:
▪️Wear a mask or face covering WHEN social distancing is not possible, this includes on the trail and at the beaches and boardwalks
▪️Keep your blanket and chairs 10 feet from others
▪️Refrain from group sports and activities
▪️Give other visitors space on trails and in common areas
▪️Be prepared—facilities are limited and some amenities may not be available
▪️Leave no trace—pick up trash, carry in, carry out
Thank you, by working together we can help stop the spread, keep visitors and staff safe and enjoy the outdoors. 🌞🌊🌳

High School sophomore, Jillian Rea, and a member of the schools Sources of Strength group created this amazing poster.
What is Sources of Strength ?
Sources of Strength is our high school’s suicide prevention program. As a group we thought sharing out some positive messaging during these uncertain times would be a healthy way to boost our fellow peers. You may find a lot of scary information through many different avenues regarding COVID 19. As a result of this you may find an increase in anxiety and possible depression. Know that you are not alone during this time. It is important to rely on HOPE, HELP & STRENGTH. Each one of us has our own strengths that have helped us get through tough times in the past. This time is no different… You Can Do This!!! Please see Sophomore Jillian Rea’s poster on ideas to get you thinking positive & feeling healthy!
For more tips on helping with Anxiety and Depression please feel free to contact Ms. Crowley at [email protected]
Happy Earth Day! A great way to celebrate is to begin planning your garden. Kids are more likely to eat fruits and vegetables that they helped grow. It also helps keep your food supply local which is good for the environment!
See more information below about an upcoming FREE online tobacco cessation program starting at the end of the month.
One of our Healthy Corner Stores is offering food delivery in the Gowanda/Collins area. Check out his post which explains how residents can have their items delivered while staying in the safety of their home #foodaccess #community #healthyfoods #quarantine #Gowanda
Please share with those interested in home delivery of groceries. We are offering this service effective tomorrow, from 12:30-5:30pm, Monday -Saturday.
We prefer and encourage orders via FB messenger or text to 548-1863. I have turned voicemail off, you wont be able to place an order via voice mail. If I am free, I will answer the phone, but cannot guarantee it. If/when we can afford additional employees to better staff the phone-we will begin to accept called-in orders.
We understand much of the motivation behind home delivery is biosecurity. In recognition of that motivation know that our delivery people will wear food grade gloves while packing your order, during driving, and delivery. We will honor any special instructions you have specified in your written order(if you dont want s/he to come to your door or step on your deck or porch-we understand....without specific instructions we will simply knock on your door as any delivery person would)
Delivery is available to Collins/Collins Center, the Seneca Reservation that is East of Versailles Plank Road, and Gowanda. This area may expand in the near future.
We ask for understanding as we implement and improve our delivery service. I do anticipate a steep learning curve.....the biggest challenge will be anticipating how much inventory we need to meet demand....I've learned that it is best to err on the side of having too little product, instead of having too much(Waste ruins margins. A tight inventory also helps to keep prices lower).....compounding the inventory guessing game is the demand created by coronavirus.....we will do our best to satisfy you as best we can.
While not required, You can help by placing order(s) a week in advance, when possible. With that lead time-we can build your order into our orders & guarantee you'll get what you want, as long as our suppliers deliver. If you want to order by the case, we can give you an 8% discount.
There is a delivery fee of $4/delivery. Depending on delivery sales we may reduce or eliminate this fee, but we have to account for the cost of the additional labor, gasoline, employment taxes, insurance, bags/boxes, etc.
We accept cash, check, credit and debit. Once our EBT reader comes in, we can also accept EBT....we are expecting that on Monday or Tuesday. Bounced checks will result in a $35 fee.
Attached is a link to a product list, pictures, and prices. There are a few minor errors in here that will be fixed over the weekend, but we wanted to get this out this evening.
Additionally, if there are items you want but we do not carry in store- we can probably access them. Please see walnutcreekfoods.com upstate milk cooperative, wright beverage, and try it distributing for additional items we can order for you.
Thank you to a good start to our 2020 season.
See you tomorrow!
