It is long past time for Congress to deliver another round of relief for our nation.

COVID is on the rise, people are losing their jobs and can't pay rent & mortgages, small businesses are struggling, and state/local governments need support. New York also must have funds for vaccine distribution.

I wrote to Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader McConnell urging action. Time to reach a deal and get things done.

2020 Small Business Saturday

This holiday season it is more important than ever to #shoplocal and patronize our hometown merchants.

Whether you're safely visiting your favorite local shops, or shopping online, be sure to support our great local businesses here in Western New York.

Today might be Black Friday, but what's even more important is tomorrow - Small Business Saturday. Over the years, Small Business Saturday has become a rallying cry for the mom 'n' pop shops. It's a day for shoppers to remember what's important about the holiday season - the giving spirit, not the m

Pies are ready for the table 🫓

This Thanksgiving is like no other we have experienced. Tables are smaller, and hours will be spent on video calls connecting with loved ones across the country.

I am thankful that we live in a nation with incredible people who have stepped up to take on the challenges we face. I am hopeful for the year ahead and look forward to continuing to serve the people of Western New York.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

Our COVID rates continue to drastically increase, putting the health and safety of Western New Yorkers at risk. In Erie County, we are seeing rapid growth in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.

Beginning on Friday, much of Erie County is moving to an Orange Zone. The new rules will take affect for non-essential businesses Friday morning, and for schools Monday morning.

We need to change our behavior and get things under control. Wear a mask, avoid gatherings, and stay safe.

Our nation is eternally grateful to the men and women who have stepped up to serve to defend our freedom.

We mark this day to thank veterans for their service and are reminded of the importance of the sacred duty to take care of them when they return home. Happy Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Much of Erie County is now in a precautionary Yellow Zone. Our COVID numbers are increasing and we need to be proactive to get things under control.

Wear a mask, avoid gatherings, and remain vigilant. If we can get our numbers down we will avoid further restrictions.

I encourage everyone to get tested. Erie County offers free #COVID19 testing to all Erie County residents regardless of symptoms. Call 716-858-2929 to schedule an appointment.

Chick-Fil-A won't be landing at Buffalo airport

As we work to rebuild our economy, we need good-paying jobs that you can raise a family on, not low-wage fast food jobs and businesses that take corporate subsidies.

Oh, and we need employers who do not discriminate against the LGBTQ community and who do prioritize equality in the workplace! 🏳️‍🌈

We need more local restaurants like the Anchor Bar at the airport. Local restaurants mean a boost for our LOCAL economy.

Protest by local assemblyman kills plan by chain to open outlet, following a similar recent move in San Antonio. Chicl-Fil-A has 2,400 locations.

Ellicott's new Elmwood project gets updated look

Bait and Switch. What in the world is this!

Ellicott Development's new design does not fit the historic character of the Elmwood Village, and frankly, I'm not even sure where it would fit. This is a disgrace.

I'll be joining the virtual planning board meeting next Monday at 4pm to talk about the community opposition to this terrible project. Please join me.

A month after winning a needed zoning variance for its reduced-scale project on Elmwood Avenue, Ellicott Development has redesigned the building with a narrower and more contemporary look.

Towns raise taxes, cut spending as Covid-19 batters budgets

The federal government's failure to support state and local governments is leading to crisis here in New York and across the nation.

Our local communities are forced to take drastic action because the Senate and the White House have ignored reality. We need support now!

Some communities saw sharp drops in sales tax, mortgage recording tax and recreation fee revenue because of the pandemic and fear further losses in state aid next year.

FBI says it foiled plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

Thankful that Governor Whitmer is unharmed, and law enforcement prevented this plot from unfolding. I am reminded of the recent effigy of Governor Cuomo here in Western New York, and the danger of promoting violence against political leaders.

Overcharged rhetoric can often lead to something much worse. No matter where it takes place, this type of extremism and violence is unacceptable and has no place in our society.

A militia group planned to violently depose Michigan’s government and abduct Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D), the FBI said in a federal affidavit filed Thursday.

What about the unemployed? What about small businesses? What about state and local governments? What about our healthcare system?

The President must stop blocking relief for our country.

He accused Nancy Pelosi of "not negotiating in good faith."

The process to protect historic properties in the City of Buffalo is broken. We need reform to put an end to the endless demolitions in the Elmwood Historic District.

Trump’s Taxes Show Chronic Losses and Years of Income Tax Avoidance

It's stunning to see wealthy elites like President Trump get away with paying less taxes than nurses, firefighters, and teachers.

Donald Trump's $750 tax payment is a symptom of a broken federal tax system. Our leaders in Washington need to fix it.

The Times obtained Donald Trump’s tax information extending over more than two decades, revealing struggling properties, vast write-offs, an audit battle and hundreds of millions in debt coming due.

The U.S. coronavirus death toll tops 200,000, and it's just 'the tip of the iceberg'

It should not have been this bad.

Here in New York, we have taken aggressive action and today we continue to have one of the lowest infection rates in the nation.

We need to remain vigilant, and we need the federal government to finally deliver more relief for workers, small businesses, and local governments.

"We're only seeing the tip of the iceberg. We're only nine months into this pandemic," said Dr. Syra Madad, senior director of the systemwide special pathogens program at New York City Health + Hospitals.

Congratulations Sean!!!!!!!
Why is Sean Ryan sending out a series of non-union mailings from the NYS DSCC? Don't you support legitimate unions?
Take me off of your mailing list. Why have I had to call your office four times in the past two weeks, and inbox you twice requesting this? Stop with the junk mail
I just received a flyer from you with great family pictures. Will you post those pictures here?
Thank you for your suggestion of drop boxes for absentee ballots. I have contacted my Assemblyman to ask him to support this action. It will expedite ballots to the Board of Elections. I'm already seeing a slower rate for mail. A package sent from Michigan by 3 day express delivery took 8 days to reach me in Niagara County.
My mother is in a local assisted-living facility. She, and other residents, were kept in their rooms basically 24/7 for approximately seven weeks with very little social interaction. While they can now leave their rooms, they are still locked inside the building, breathing the same stale, recirculated air for eight weeks. Also eight weeks without any personal contact with family members. Residents that are physically able need to be able to go outside for fresh air. Why not allow them to sit on chairs, spaced six feet apart, on the spacious patio? I understand the need to protect their physical health, but their mental health is being completely ignored. This is elder abuse! I would love an opportunity to talk to you about it.
Happy Earth Day !!! ♻️🌏🌿🌻🌺🥀🌹🌼
Thank you for standing up for those who have no voice
Mr. Ryan, they have started to dismantle rides at fantasy island on grand island. More rides have gone up for sale listed on used rides pages online. I do not believe that Apex Parks Group has been honest with you. There are buyers on the table and Nobody seen any kind of response from Apex Parks Group concerning the sale of the park. Is there a way we could expedite the process and mediate a sale? I know Grand Island councilman Mike Madigan has taken calls from respected people interested.

Once again Sean Ryan sides with Adolf Cuomo- anyone that supports this criminal that harbors criminals at the expense of law abiding citizens is an enemy of our Republic !
