We are super excited to be teaming up with the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation Department for their annual toy drive!!

Because of COVID restrictions, toy collection barrel locations are limited and may change. Right now, the Town has two public sites: the Municipal Building and Department of Youth Parks and Rec Office (299 Decatur) which will collect for the next several weeks. We wanted to help boost donations any way we could (I mean, you know us, right?? 😏) so here we are!

Here are the details:
-First, please share this post! Even if you can't give, maybe someone who sees this can! (THANK YOU!!)

-We are accepting NEW UNWRAPPED toys for children of all ages

-The event is Saturday, December 5th 9 AM - 1 PM.

-Contactless drop off at the Jefferson Building (the building is at 250 Athens but drop off is on the Oakvale Blvd side of building in the parking lot). Pull up to door number two and one of our volunteers will be happy to assist.

-Suggested gift value is $10-$20 but please give whatever you can. ❤️ Gift cards are accepted.

-All gifts stay here in to bring joy to the children within the Village of Kenmore/Town of Tonawanda

-A friendly challenge: can you get your friends or company to buy 10 gifts? If so, please send us a picture to post of your group with your donations (you can PM us or email to [email protected]). Let's celebrate our community partners!

-If you shop through Amazon, please consider using Amazon Smile and designating us as your charity. It doesn't cost you anything and we get a portion of the sale. If you would like to purchase through Amazon and have it sent to us, please send us a private message for our residential address. Please do NOT send things to our physical location as we are only there 2 days a week.

We know there will be a great need this holiday season. Thank you for helping keep the joy of the season alive! Much love to you all! ✌🏼❤️😃😷

Generator Z

1,000 selected teens ages 13-18 will be paid $1,000 each for their participation. Please let a teenager know about this opportunity!

Generator Z invites teens in Western New York to become ‘Generators’ and share their vision for the direction of afterschool on the Generator-Z.org web platform. In early 2021, Generator Z will invite afterschool providers to apply for grants based on teen insight. Throughout the process, $1 million in stipends will be paid to teens and $3 million in grants to organizations.

The Lakeshore Connections, supported by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, are powering this initiative to have teens reimagine the future of afterschool activities.

https://generator-z.org/

Generator Z is an ideas platform driven by teens to reimagine afterschool. Teens lead the conversation and share their vision while organizations turn insight into action. Generator Z flips the script of traditional grantmaking by centering teen voices as the drivers of innovation.

Hi! We just moved to the area and wondering about baseball for 10U. Is there a town/house league or travel?
When will reopen??? Anything
We were very impressed by the young men and women working the Lincoln pool today. They were professional, respectful and pleasant while enforcing the new covid rules and restrictions. We had a great day. Thank you!
When will the public Rest Rooms be open? Where are my tax dollars going to in all this Corona shut down? Will I get a rebate on my Taxes? The residents of this town are getting ripped off. Can't use the parks or bathrooms, Town services closed, Open up our Town!!!
Any chance Veterans Park could have the grass cut? It's been at least two weeks and I found a deer tick on me tonight after visiting the park. Shorter grass would help keep those insects at bay. - thank you.
How is it possible there is not one Tee Time available for the next 10 days at either course. I check at 700am this morning and all the times were gone for the latest day that opened up. Something is wrong.
Could you please update information on your page regarding the potential for reopening of the Aquatic Ctr. The current post is dated two moths ago; you must have more current information, especially in light of the fact that up-state NY is now starting to reopen. Thank you
#TOTMemories good times over at KYC
Why did all the trees and shrubs get wiped out on rails to trail path between Sheridan & Harrison? Is the town going to plant new trees? The whole path between Englewood & Sheridan could use more trees and vegetation!
Consider adding an adult skate on Wednesday afternoon before the skate and shoot so that adults can utilize the skating arena, too.⛸🦉
