Forget Extinct: The Brontosaurus Never Even Existed

Studying Speciation for tomorrow's biology test and just found this out when reviewing Paleontological Species Concept! A year later but still an interesting read! First Pluto..then Brontosaurus...what other parts of childhood would science like to prove incorrect?

Orbital Speed

So here's an odd coincidence that involves a little math, a little physics, and a whole lot of weird in one. If an astronaut was listening to the song I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) on the International Space Station which travels at about 7.66 km/s, after 3 minutes and 30 seconds, which is the length of the song, the astronaut would have traveled almost exactly 1000 miles.

Celebrated annually on October 23 from 6:02 a.m. to 6:02 p.m., Mole Day commemorates Avogadro's Number (6.02 x 10^23), which is a basic measuring unit in chemistry. Mole Day was created as a way to foster interest in chemistry. Schools throughout the United States and around the world celebrate Mole...
