The University at Buffalo Global Health Scholars Track provides Family Medicine residents with first-hand clinical healthcare experiences in developing nations and with the refugee community in Buffalo, New York.

General information
Up to 3 UB Family Medicine residents are accepted per year. International Experience: PGY-1: Attend a global health conference PGY-2: 2 weeks global health trip PGY-3: 4 weeks global health trip Once a month Global Health Scholar residents will meet to discuss various global health topics. Residents will also do a research or other scholarly project they they will present during their senior year. This may be a public health project that benefits the village they work in during their 2nd or 3rd years of residency. Residents receive special recognition at graduation and "Global Health Scholar" is included on their residency graduation certificate.
