George F Lamm Post American Legion Post #622 George F. Lamm was presumably the first Town of Amherst serviceman to give his life for his country in World War I.

Lamm was Born December 3, 1894 in No. Tonawanda, NY. He attended Ascension School in North Tonawanda, and North Tonawanda High School. The family move from North Tonawanda to Pendelton, NY in 1910 when George was about 17 years old. He worked for Columbus-McKinnon until he went into the service in November 1917. After Training at Camp Dix, NJ, he left for France in March 1918. As a Machine Gunner in Co. L, 7th Infantry Reg., 3rd Division, he was killed in the line of Duty July 15, 1918. The 3rd Division, of which George was a member, played an important role in repulsing the German Drive at the time. Pvt. Lamm is listed among those who were missing in action. In accordance with our Government’s program of honoring those of our dead whose remains were not recovered or identified, Private Lamm’s name was permanently inscribed on the Missing
of the Aisne-Marne Memorial, Belleau, Aisne, France.

All those players, owners & those in solidarity against the President today really didn’t hurt the President’s feelings. They disrespected all those men & women who for the past two hundred years fought so those overpriced kneelers had the privilege of doing so.

I want to thank all those who attended the Family Picnic yesterday, we had a great turnout. Special thanks to all those who worked to make the Picnic such a success. It does take a lot of work, Dominic Savarino made it all happen, so a huge thank you to Dom. Then we had the Buffalo Dolls who provided the entertainment, they put on a great show
