Formulate an organized body of active businesses and merchants within the commercial strip of Bailey Avenue, within the University District of Buffalo. Maintain and enhance the facades, streetscape, curbside and quality of life within Bailey by establishing and coordinating neighborhood pride and beautification projects. c. Work with business owners, property owners, block clubs, residents, law en
forcement officers, elected officials, and other community leaders in order to coordinate resources and responsibilities amongst businesses within Bailey. d. Foster stronger intra- and inter-business communication and leadership through activities, including public events, emphasizing community solidarity. The foregoing will be accomplished by:
a. Establishing and collecting membership dues for the benefit of the business community within Bailey. Increasing access to other funding opportunities for Bailey businesses, by researching, identifying and applying for grants that may assist in funding programs/activities the Bailey commercial strip. Effectively collaborating with other agencies working within Bailey to support neighborhood safety and business development
d. Collaborating with and assisting local residents in organizing block clubs and task forces. e. Identifying, encouraging, and facilitating specific economic development projects within the District.
