After parting ways with a Ohio-based organization, the founders of Code Blue Relief Mission recognized the importance of continuing to help the homeless in Buffalo. Our organization collects warm weather items (coats, hats, gloves, mittens, sleeping bags...) and distributes them into the hands of the homeless, right here on the streets of Buffalo. We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization. If you would like to help us please contact Kristen at (716) 578-6272 or Jesse at (716) 715-4242. You can also email us at [email protected].

Bus Converted into Mobile Food Market Brings Fresh Produce To Low-Income Neighbourhoods
Urban areas are difficult for someone who wants to maintain a fresh diet. The main reason is money: fresh vegetables and fruits are expensive, because the produce has to be shipped and you end up paying for the delivery cost more than for the quality of the product itself. With the Mobile Good Food....

Buffalo Residents: This whole week is a Code Blue Weather Emergency, meaning that no homeless person seeking shelter can be denied. If you see someone on the street in need of shelter, you can call 211, give a description of the person and the location, and and an outreach team will be dispatched to assist. You don't have to do anything else but call. You don't need to approach the person, or wait for anyone to arrive. Just call 211. PLEASE pass it on

โThis morning I stopped to get a coffee at the Tim Hortons inside the Mobile Gas Station at Lexington and Elmwood. There was a homeless woman and her dog sitting outside. A few minutes later, two Buffalo Police Officers pulled up and came inside. As I waited for my coffee, I saw that they were buying dog food and dog treats. When they approached the woman, she immediately seemed nervous as if she might be getting in trouble. I donโt think I will ever forget the way her face lit up when the officers handed her the bags and asked to pet her dog. This was so selfless and brought immediate tears to my eyes. Kindness: itโs an incredible thing.โ ๐๐ฎ

Why are shoes important? Shoes prevent injury and disease, help in healing chronic foot conditions, offer necessary arch support, comfort foot and back pain, give people dignity and a feeling of social acceptance, and can even help them secure employment. Yet, those struggling with poverty are often left without access to proper footwear. Thanks to Fleet Feet Sports Buffalo for collecting and donating over 300 pairs of sneakers to FONP for those in need.

We'd like to give a BIG thank you to Dylyn, Jackie, and the rest of the crew over at Orchard Park Essendant for collecting a huge amount of clothing, blankets, boots, and hygeine items for us.
These things will go a long way toward helping Buffalo's homeless community to endure this long, cold winter!
Thanks to a generous amount of recent donations, we were able to supply some local agencies with extra clothing, cases of water, and hygiene items to help their clients get through this cold winter.
Stops this week included Harbor House Drop-In Center and Friends of Night People, two amazing organizations who share our common goal of bettering the lives of Buffalo's homeless population.
Thanks to all who have donated!

For more than half of all New Yorkers, homelessness is not an abstract phenomenon: it's merely a paycheck away. A new report from NY's Association for Neighborhood & Housing Development reminds us of how close the experience of homelessness is to all Americans as rents increase. Learn more at DNAInfo.
