By trying to solve one perceived problem (excessive drinking), Prohibition caused another -- organized crime. Thankfully we aren't a hub for organized crime, but Buna could really benefit economically from the extra revenue streams brought in for local restaurants from alcohol sales.

It's interesting to look back at the mindset during Prohibition. Those pushing for banning alcohol truly believed that what they were doing was right, but now we can look back and see a failed experiment in legislating morality. It just doesn't work when you try to force other people to live their life in a way they haven't chosen for themselves.
