Congratulations to the Blum Bobcats for being selected Army Strong Team of the Week in the Six-Man class.
The Bobcats' defense dominated rival Abbott, shutting them out in the first half while Riley Stone racked up four total touchdowns to push Blum to a 34-16 victory over the state-ranked Abbott.
Each week, TexasFootball.com and the U.S. Army join together to select one team from every classification in high school football that demonstrates the qualities exhibited within the Army. Those include leadership, commitment to excellence and a desire to make a difference as a member of a team. Each team is awarded the Army Strong Team of the Week by local officials from the U.S. Army at a school assembly or pep rally.

"Duty, Honor, Country" — those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.
—General Douglas MacArthur
