Engine 3012 responding to a report of vehicle fire on 11/1.
This morning, Rescue 3018 extricated one from a motor vehicle on its side in its first due local.
Your Burlington City Firefighters had an early start to the day. Rescue-Engine 9061, along with Burlington Township Rescue 3018, and Engine 3032 extricated an entrapped victim from a motor vehicle accident this morning.
Come out and meet your local volunteer firefighters!!! Starts at 7pm tomorrow. We hope to see you!

Come out and support a local family in need. The Burlington Twp. Police Department will take on the Burlington Twp. Fire Department in a charity hockey game. On November 18th at 6pm located at Skimmer Adams Field (1101 Lake Ave).
Congratulations to Officer Howard who is a full time police officer in Burlington Township. Officer Howard has also served as a volunteer firefighter with Independent Fire Company since 2014. He currently holds the rank as 1st Lieutenant and is apart of several committees such as training, safety, recruitment/ retention, and many more. Congratulations Officer Howard and thank you for your service to Burlington Township.

Over the next several weeks the Burlington Township Police Department would like the community to meet several of our newest Officers (2 of 7).
Officer Walter Howard #122
Officer Walter Howard was hired by the Burlington Township Police Department in December of 2021 and graduated from the Atlantic County Police Training Center on June 8th, 2022. Officer Howard graduated from the Burlington Township High School 2016, and after graduating, he attended Rowan University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law & Justice. Officer Howard also currently serves as the 1st Lieutenant of Station 301 (Independent Fire Company), where he has been a member since 2014.
Officer Howard is currently assigned to the Patrol Division’s Squad 1. Walter hopes to one day advance his career and become a member of some of the various units within the department. In his free time, Walter enjoys watching his favorite sports team the Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoys bowling, hanging out with his friends, and spending time with his family and his dog Max.

Detective Cosmo impacted the lives of so many people and it is our job to now honor and remember him for the loving, caring, dedicated man that he was.
This event is a memorial 5k run with the intention of memorializing Detective Cosmo and giving back to the programs that help provide su***de prevention assistance to our country’s law enforcement and military personnel.

Rescue 3018 operated at this serious MVA this morning.
This morning Squad 2722 and Ambulance 2781 responded to an overturned tractor trailer with entrapment on the Route 295 Exit 45 off ramp in Westampton. Chief 2700 arrived on scene and requested mutual aid companies to assist us with the rescue of the injured and trapped driver, who was quickly removed after stabilizing the overturned truck. Thank you to our mutual aid partners for their assistance!

Engine 3012 arrived second due to a working fire today.
Today around 11:30a, BTFD Stations 301 and 302 were dispatched to Willingboro Twp. for a house fire. Engine 3012 was second due and performed primary search. The crew of Engine 3022 staged as extra man power but we're quickly released. All departments worked quickly and aggressively to get the fire under control!

Earlier this week, your local volunteers and career staff handled a truck fire in Station 3’s local. Engine 3012 arrived 1st due and deployed a bumper line for extinguishment. Crews operated for approximately 1 hour before going available.

Tonight, members of Independent Fire Company got sworn in with the Burlington Township Police Department. Walter Howard (middle) and Austin Wilk (left) have recently completed the police academy this year and are currently working full time for Burlington Township Police Department.

Today, your local Independent Fire Company members participate in a autism awareness walk this morning. The crew had a wonderful time and was able to raise almost $1,500. Thank you to everyone who donated and participate in todays event.
The members of Shop 30 would like to congratulate Firefighter James Gifford (center) on his recent approval for an Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) to Pennsauken Township. Firefighter Gifford was hired as one of the original 6 career staff members for Burlington Township in January of 2021. The members of the Shop wish Firefighter Gifford the best of luck in his new department and good luck with his future endeavors! You will be missed Jimmy!!

Last night shortly after 1am, Rescue 3018, Westampton Township Emergency Services Rescue Engine 2722, Mount Laurel Fire Department Engine 3631, and Battalion 3603 handled a serious motor vehicle accident on the New Jersey turnpike. Crews from 3018 & 2722 extricated one patient from the vehicle while 3632 assisted.
On behalf of the Niagara Hose Company #6 we regret to announce the passing of Timothy Viereck. Past Chief of the Burlington City Fire Department, past president of the Niagara, Tim held many titles over 30+ years of service. Tim also worked at Endeavor EMS, Burlington City PD and Burlington County Central Communications as a Fire & EMS operator. Tim dedicated his life to helping others and passed away suddenly earlier this morning. R.I.P Timmy!
Earlier, engine 3012 responded to a report of dumpster on fire attached to a building. Burlington City ladder 9035 arrived first due and stretched a 1 3/4 attach line to knock down the fire. Engine 3012 arrived shortly after and deployed large diameter hose to ensure crews had adequate water while assisting in fire attack and ventilation.

Chief 9000, Engine 3012(Burlington Twp), Rescue-Engine 9061, and Utility 9069 all spending some time at Station 301 today. Crews from The City and Township ran multiple calls together today.
Throw back Thursday to Squrt 3014 in service at a large multi-alarm building fire.
This morning members of Shop 30 responded to the area of Route 130 Southbound and Keim Boulevard in Burlington City for a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Crews arrived and immediately identified the need for the rescue tools to be put in service to free the occupants of two different vehicles. The extrication was completed alongside members of the Burlington City Fire Department. Crews operated on scene for approximately 1 hour.

This afternoon Squrt 3014, Utility 3059, and Chief 3000 responded to Burlington City (D90) for a report of structure fire. The first arriving chief reported and police reported heavy smoke showing from the second floor and roof area. The fire was quickly extinguished and crews operated for approximately 1 hour.
While crews were making quick work of a structure fire, the Burlington Township career staff operated on scene of a pick up truck vs. a motorcycle. Crews performed patient career, secured the scene, and mitigated fluids on the roadway.

Rescue 3018 and Squrt 3014 are currently operating on Route 295 at Exit 47B with a large truck that is overturned. Crews will be on location for a extended period of time. Please use caution in the area.

While crews within the county operated at this 3 alarm commercial fire, Squrt 3014 was dispatched to Vincentown Sta. 171 as a cover assignment.
NJ Motorsports Dealership Fire: The fire looked to be under control but then just after 6 a.m., flames started to erupt once again.
Rescue 3018, Utility 3017, Utility 3059, Chief 3000 (Leshner Jr.), and Deputy 3001 (Field) responded to this incident.
Last night crews were dispatched to a Rescue assignment for a person stuck 20-30ft up in a forklift crews from City & Township worked to safely extricate the worker.
Last night, 3014 responded to a building fire within the Township. 3014’s crew was on scene for approximately 2 hours.
Engine 3012, Chief 3000, Utility 3059, and Utility 3028 on scene of a public assist call this evening.

On July 6th, Squad 2722 responded to a reported House on Fire in the Tarnsfield section of Westampton Township. Quickly arriving on scene and stretching a 1 3/4” hose line, the fire was contained to the area of origin. Thank you to the staff of Burlington Township Fire Department and Endeavor Emergency Squad for their assistance on scene as well.

Today, crews from Sta.301 and Sta.303 attended a public event known as “Blessing of the Bikes”. While at the event, Rescue 3018 handled a emergency call within the town for a microwave on fire.
