MHHS Eco Club Meetings for MHHS Eco Club are held on Tuesdays during SMART Lunch and Tuesdays afterschool for recycling in Mrs. Hartsel's room (science wing). Go Earth!

Attention Eco-clubbers!!!! Please make sure we get all money and/or raffle tickets by lunch time on Friday!!!! Any unsold tickets must be returned (although you should have NO UNSOLD TICKETS if you are a good little eco-clubber).

On thursday evening there's a hearing for the mining project on pensacola. No recycling this week so keep an eye out for overfull bins. Eco-Eats this week! bring food. We'll be talking about biofuel. Spread the word, let's get people to come. Thank you danny for the drinks and cookies!

Anyone care to take a stand against a mining project that may adversely effect nearby water quality? Call 682-3971 to get your name on a petition against it. Ecp eats volunteers: Lunch one: Ingrid Lunch two: olivia Lunch Three: Pending. The topic for the lunch will be biodiesel, and the possibility of running school buses on it. Recycling will be established in the lunchroom to save our precious tin!

. . . and ingrid are in charge of the posters. On saturday there will be a school cleanup, organized by PTO, that will be beginning at 10:00 am, meet outside of science wing for a bagful of fun! The aluminum bottles are being ordered, looking for slogan. The contra-dance committee (ashley, ingrid, sarah) are cooking something up for us!

Football recycling didn't work. We need people to make signs for the bins! The short one-hour hike is october 25 at sarah's house, TIME: 2:00 PM till 5 or 6. Directions will be given in a week or two. The Big Sweep was a BIG success! Come get your T-shirts, 'cause they're in. Recycling: Zone 3, Spanish needs double-checking, and theres a new bin on the gym balcony.

We will have recycling bins @ the next game; make sure people stay after so the janitors don't have to deal with them! Remember to collect items for the Contra-Dance Silent Auction. Hike will be on Oct. 25 at Sarah's house. Last call for T-shirts! Recycling rules: Bag shredded paper, collect from EVERYONE, don't drag cans, remember poor Mr. Way.

From first and second meetings: Water Quality Monitoring will be Tuesday afternoons after meeting, Hartsell usually does it. Volunteers will be appreciated! Contra Dance (kinda like a square dance, but in lines and circles): there will be live music, and it will probably be on a January weekend. -We will need silent auction items from local artists, other crafty stuff, and services.
