Tonight was the swearing-in ceremony for Burton City Council. I was blessed to have my family join me at the event.

City Clerk Racheal Boggs swore me in as one of the two new City Council members; congratulations to Greg Fenner, Candice Miller and Steve Heffner on being sworn-in tonight.

I am thankful to have had the opportunity for my family to join me at this special event. Tonight was the culmination of over six months of hard work; knocking thousands of doors and being able to meet so many great people.

The common theme was cooperation. I look forward to working with my fellow City Council members to serve the residents of Burton.

The election is Tuesday. Please vote.

I would really appreciate your support in Tuesday's election.

There are three easy ways for you to cast your ballot; vote on Saturday at the Clerk's office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., returning your absentee ballot and voting at your polling location.

☑️ Voting on Saturday, November 4th

The Burton Clerk's Office is open to the public for the following extended hours during Elections: The Saturday prior to EVERY Election - 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Election Day - 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

☑️ Returning your Absentee Ballot

To be safe, it's best if you returned your ballot to City Hall at the drop box in the parking lot or the drop box inside the Clerk's office. Ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

☑️Voting at your Polling Location

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; why not take 10 minutes of your day and vote?

Attention Bentley Community:

Tonight is the night and Bentley has playoff football! It has been a long time coming and no matter what I am so proud of our coaches and boys. They had a vision and stuck to it.

Our boys have put in the work both on the field and in the classroom. Our coaches have prepared the boys to go to battle and managed the day to day teenager side of things!

They all have set the tone and the standard for the program moving forward. They have shown that the only way forward is with hard work, embracing the grind and meticulous preparation.

If you have an opportunity to come out tonight...please do so! It is a hike, but our boys deserve the most support they can get. It is truly a Davis vs. Goliath match-up on paper, but no one can measure heart, drive and desire. I believe we will bring those to the table tonight.

Sean Payton said it best: "To do things you've never done before, you have to do things you've never done before."

Lets go do something we have never done before!

Game-time is 7! See you there!

Knocked around 85 houses today with Re-Elect Greg Fenner, Burton City Councilman, Elect Duane Haskins, and Vaughn Smith! We all received very good feedback out on the doors. .
