Tomorrow will be a Public Hearing on the Master Plan for the City of Burton. A copy of the Public Hearing Draft of the Master Plan can be found at the Public Works Department (PWD). You may email comments to the city or come to the meeting. The meeting will take place at the City Hall at 5:00pm.

The Planning Commission is holding a Public Hearing on the Master Plan for the city. This includes goals, objectives, future land use plan (future zoning plan), and an implementation plan. You can view a copy of the Master Plan at the Public Works Department (PWD), leave comments with the city or come to the Public Hearing on December 12th, 2017.

The City of Burton's Planning Commission is having a meeting tomorrow in the city council chambers at city hall at 5:00pm. We will be discussing the results of the Master Plan Open House, review the goals and objectives, and work on developing plan recommendations on how to meet the goals and objectives. The recommendations include developing the Future Land Use Maps.

There are 2 viewing Sessions Available: 1:00-3:00pm and 6:30-8:30pm
The topic boards include: Community Character, Public Safety, Transportation, Recreation Opportunities, Natural Features, Residential Housing, Business Growth, and Government.

Tonight is the another Planning Commission Meeting involving the updating of the Master Plan. We will be discussing the Goals, Objectives, and strategies for the future of the city and determining a date for the Open House.

Thank you to everyone that participated in our Community Survey we had 214 responses.
The Planning Commission is in the process of drafting the Goals and Objectives for the community. They will also be reviewing a draft of the proposed strategies to implement the Master Plan and determining a date for the next public engagement opportunity, the Open House, which will be in January.
The Open House will provide an opportunity for the public to comment on various development options that the Planning Commission is considering involving the Future Land Use Plan, proposed capital improvements, goals & objectives, or implementation strategies.

Last night the Planning Commission, started to review Goals and Objectives for the City of Burton based on all the public input thus far.
The various goals and objectives were related to: Open Space/Environment, transportation, government, public safety, community, businesses, housing, and employment.

The next Planning Commission Meeting is on August 23rd, where Sharon Woods from Land Use/USA will discuss her Target Market Analysis and Economic Gap Model Studies. Then ROWE Professional Services Company will go over the utility and transportation preliminary report, community profile report, and summary of stakeholder and focus group discussions. The meeting will be held in the Community Room at the City of Burton City Hall at 5:00pm.
