This Memorial Day, we especially honor all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country 🇺🇸

Next month, we will also honor the flag they served. An American Flag Retirement ceremony is set for Flag Day, June 14 in Cranberry Community Park, where flags that no longer meet U.S. Flag code will be properly & respectfully retired.

Anyone from the public is welcome to attend, and bring their unserviceable flags for retirement. Learn more about Retire Your Old Glory's mission at https://retireyouroldglory.com/

Rooting for the Future 🌱🍎

What happens when community leaders gather at a historic farm with a shared vision? They plant the seeds for Cranberry Township’s future!

The Cranberry Conservancy recently hosted a Visioning Forum at Powell Farm, bringing together the Township's Board of Supervisors, Township officials, the Cranberry Foundation Board, representatives from Seneca Valley School District, Butler County Commissioners, Senator Elder Vogel, and a representative from U.S. Senator Dave McCormick’s office.

Guests heard the Conservancy’s vision and long-term plan for Powell Farm and the Cranberry Greenway Plan - one centered on conservation, stewardship, sustainability, and community connection. Participants also had the opportunity to plant apple trees in the fields, symbolizing the investment being made today for generations to come! 🍏

Through strategic partnerships, fundraising, grant opportunities, and collaboration with stakeholders, the Conservancy continues working to protect and enhance Cranberry Township’s valuable green spaces and agricultural heritage.
