MOUNTAIN MIST COTTAGE Refined Communities
Just the name of this one sounds like a warm welcome HOME. Refined Communities has been in the Top of Utah Parade of Homes for several years and each year I am excited to see the interior. Over the years I have designed several homes that are accessible housing, or “our - we are getting old home” that one of my cute clients called it. ❤️ Each time I get to design homes with accessibility in mind I always think back to Refined Communities parade homes. They always do such a great job with their homes. If you need some inspiration or a builder that knows what they are doing, don’t miss this one!

The symmetry of the Mortenson speaks to my soul. I love balance in my life. Just ask my husband. Something I learned about myself while doing this round of Top of Utah Parade of Homes is that I really love landscaping. Plants and flowers make my heart happy. I had a blast “landscaping” the renderings. Some of the builders/owners have landscaping plans and some say just go for it. ❤️ telling me just go for it is basically telling me we are best friends. 😂 I love how this one turned out.

BYRD’S LANDING Groll Construction Milieu Design
Remember when I said there were two homes in the Willow Lakes subdivision? BYRD’S LANDING is the second one. You can hit two “Byrds” with one stone. See what I did there? 🤣 I am going to admit something here. This is a safe space right? Stone is the one of the hardest materials to get right on the renderings. Especially when the majority of the home is stone. After you go see the Bryrd’s Landing, let me know if I was way off or kinda close!

A few years ago I did renderings for a house in Willow Lakes and I have been obsessed ever since. This year we have two houses there! The views that Pelican Lakes has is insane! THE STONEWOOD MANOR - Timber Brook Homes
This house is beautiful all the way around! Dallin (timberbrooks)and I tried every angle possible to capture all of the beautiful details. The only way to showcase the roof swoop on the garage to the left and the beautiful chimney to the right was to do a 2D elevation. They are set back just far enough that we couldn’t get all of it into one rendering. We ended up deciding on this view to show the dimension of the house and the front door. You will just have to go see it in person to see all the details! ❤️

Hey Cade, what color does the garage door need to be? 😂 I am positive our builders roll their eyes when they see my name pop up on their phone the last week before my deadline. I know I would be annoyed! Fun fact, a big chunk of these homes are still being built as we speak. My deadline is a lot sooner than when the homes have to be finished. On the Sterling project my deadline hit right before a color for the garage door could be chosen. They wanted to hold off on that decision until the stucco was up. Many design decision piggy back off of each other. Cade (traverse_homes) was amazing to work with and handled all of these decisions well. Because of my deadline I still don’t know what color the garage door got painted, but I do know this house is gorgeous inside and out. 😍

I think we can all agree that we are starting off STRONG with this one! The second that Logan sent me over the plans for this one I was hooked. It’s pretty easy to see why. Wait until you see the inside! The hardest part about doing this rendering was picking just ONE view of the house. Every angle is so GOOD! When I do renderings outside of the parade of homes I get to show every side of the house. Maybe I can talk Top of Utah Parade of Homes in letting us do that so that I can do all the sides. 😂 I guess that just means you have to go see it in person with me!

IT IS TIME.. if you said that in your best Rafiki voice we are definitely friends. Year #4 of Parade of Homes shenanigans is starting out strong! I survived the chaos of doing 17 renderings, and the “blueprint” of the front elevations and floor plans of each parade house in a little less than four weeks. I have learned quite a bit of things in the last four weeks as well as the last four years of PoH. I will be sharing those tidbits with each individual rendering! ❤️ I poured my heart and soul into them, prayed for the mom guilt to subside every day, lost a lot of beauty sleep, and it’s possible I have a permanent headache from staring at the screen. 😂 I would love to hear your thoughts! Can’t wait to walk through these homes with you in a few weeks!
